About Singapore

Singapore, officially the Republic of Singapore, is an island country and city-state in Southeast Asia. Its territory comprises a main island, over 60 satellite islands and islets, and one outlying islet. The country is about one degree of latitude north of the equator, off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, bordering the Strait of Malacca to the west, the Singapore Strait to the south along with the Riau Islands in Indonesia, the South China Sea to the east and the Straits of Johor along with the State of Johor in Malaysia to the north.

Getting There

• Singapore is well-connected by air, with Changi Airport serving as the primary international gateway. Most visitors arrive via this major hub, which offers excellent ground transportation options. From the airport, you can reach the city center via the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system, which is efficient, affordable, and connects throughout Singapore. Alternatively, taxi services and ride-sharing apps operate throughout the city and provide convenient point-to-point transport. Once in Singapore, the MRT network is the most reliable way to navigate between locations, supplemented by buses and taxis. The city's compact size and excellent public infrastructure make getting around straightforward for visitors.
