About Dublin

Dublin is the capital and largest city of Ireland. Situated on Dublin Bay at the mouth of the River Liffey, it is in the province of Leinster, and is bordered on the south by the Dublin Mountains, part of the Wicklow Mountains range. Dublin is the largest city by population on the island of Ireland; at the 2022 census, the city council area had a population of 592,713, while the city, including suburbs, had a population of 1,263,219, and County Dublin had a population of 1,501,500. Various definitions of a metropolitan Greater Dublin Area exist.

Getting There

• Dublin is served by Dublin Airport, Ireland's largest international hub, located approximately 10 kilometers north of the city center. Most international flights arrive here, with direct connections from major European cities and beyond. From the airport, you can reach Dublin's city center via the Aircoach express bus service, which operates frequent departures throughout the day, or by taxi and rideshare services available at ground level. Once in Dublin, the city's public transport network includes buses and the Luas tram system, both offering convenient connections throughout the city. Taxis and rideshare apps are widely available for direct point-to-point travel. The city center is also very walkable, making it easy to navigate between accommodations and the congress venue once you arrive.
